This Privacy Policy explains how ZHLab AI ("we," "us," or "our") handles your personal information when you use Mind Journal (the "App").

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.

3. Overview of App Features

Mind Journal is a mood journal and self-awareness tool. Main features include:

Creating, editing, and deleting mood journal entries on your device

Creating and managing personal schedules

AI-powered journal analysis (daily and weekly)

AI-generated schedule draft suggestions

Signing in with a Google account to sync Premium membership status

Purchasing Premium subscriptions through Google Play

Setting local reminder notifications (e.g., water intake, medication, custom reminders)

**Important notice:** The App is intended for self-awareness, emotional reflection, and life organization only. It is not a substitute for counseling, medical diagnosis, psychiatric treatment, or emergency medical care. 4. Data We Collect

4.2 Data Collected When You Use Google Sign-In

If you choose "Sign in with Google," we obtain the following through Google OAuth and store it on our servers:

Google user identifier (Subject ID)

Email address (if provided by your Google account)

Display name (if provided by your Google account)

Profile photo URL (if provided by your Google account)

We use this information to create and identify your account, show sign-in status, sync Premium membership, and support account deletion.

4.3 AI Analysis Data

When you actively request AI analysis, the App sends journal content from your selected date range (text, date, time, and entry ID) to our backend API to generate analysis results.

Our backend also records AI usage logs, such as:

Anonymous identifier or signed-in user ID

Request endpoint and task type

AI provider and model name

Success status, error messages, and response latency

We do not permanently store full journal content as a separate database field for AI analysis. However, AI providers may temporarily process the journal text you submit while handling your request. See Section 6, "Third-Party Services."

4.4 Subscription and Payment Data

If you purchase a Premium subscription:

Payment is processed by Google Play; we do not directly collect or store your credit card number or full payment card details

The App receives information returned by Google Play, such as purchaseToken, product ID, and subscription status

Our backend stores subscription status, plan type, expiration time, and a summary of Google Play verification results to determine Premium membership

5. How We Use Data

We use the data described above only for the following purposes:

Providing, maintaining, and improving App features

Running AI journal analysis, weekly reviews, and schedule draft suggestions

Verifying Google Play subscriptions and providing Premium benefits

Enforcing free / Premium usage limits

Delivering local reminder notifications

Debugging, security, abuse prevention, and service quality monitoring

Complying with applicable legal obligations

6. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, which may process data under their own policies:

7. Data Storage Locations and Retention

7.1 Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your phone or tablet by default (localStorage / Preferences):

Mood journal entries

AI analysis results

Schedule data

Reminder settings

Anonymous identifier

Sign-in session (if signed in)

Uninstalling the App usually deletes local data, though results may vary depending on your device backup settings.

7.2 Stored on Our Servers

Our servers may store:

Google sign-in account information

Premium subscription status

AI usage logs (without permanently archiving full journal content)

Sign-in refresh tokens (until sign-out, expiration, or account deletion)

We retain data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above. After account deletion, related cloud account data will be removed or de-identified, except where retention is required by law.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data to third parties. We may share data only in the following situations:

**Service providers:** such as AI model providers and cloud hosting providers, and only as needed to provide the service

**Google:** for sign-in, payment, and subscription verification

**Legal requirements:** court orders or lawful requests from competent authorities

**Protection of rights:** to prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, or harm to persons

9. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including:

Encryption in transit (HTTPS / TLS)

Server-side access controls

Hashed storage of Google Play subscription tokens

Management of sign-in tokens and refresh tokens

However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

10.1 Access, Correction, and Deletion

**Local data:** You can edit or delete journal entries, schedules, and reminders in the App

**Cloud account data:** You can use "Delete account" in Settings; this removes account data from our servers and cannot be undone

**Google Sign-In:** You can sign out at any time

10.2 Choosing Not to Provide Data

You can use basic features without signing in with Google

You can choose not to purchase Premium

You can choose not to use AI analysis

You can decline optional permissions such as camera or notifications

10.3 Subscription Management

Premium subscriptions are managed by Google Play. You can go to Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions to cancel, restore, or request refunds in accordance with Google policies.

11. Children's Privacy

The App is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided data without consent, please contact us and we will help delete the relevant data.

12. International Data Transfers

Our backend and AI services may be located outside your country or region. By using the App, you understand that your data may be transferred across borders and protected under this policy and applicable law.

13. Sensitive Information Notice

You may record highly personal or sensitive information in your journal, such as emotions, stress, relationships, or health-related feelings. Please:

Decide for yourself whether specific content is appropriate to enter

Understand that AI analysis sends selected journal text to our backend and AI providers for processing

Use caution on shared devices regarding sign-in and screen lock

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy due to feature changes, legal requirements, or operational needs. Updates will be posted on this page or announced in the App, and the "Last updated" date will be revised. For material changes, we will notify you in a reasonable manner.

15. Governing Law and Disputes
