Overview
Xingda Harbor in Qieding, Kaohsiung, is one of southern Taiwan's larger fishing harbors, with a tourist fish market and Lovers' Wharf. Its spacious, calm grounds make it a popular family and beginner spot in the south. Actual fishing zones follow the port authority's on-site notices.
Terrain & depth
Mainly harbor walls and breakwaters near a lagoon and river mouth over a muddy-sand bottom; depth varies with the tide.
Recommended tide/season
Bites are better around high tide; the spring–summer threadfin season brings more targets—watch for afternoon thunderstorms in summer.
Parking & access
Reachable via Provincial Highway 17 with a large parking lot, near the tourist fish market and Lovers' Wharf.
